Unfortunately this season had a rather abrupt end to it with the current Covid-19 outbreak being the deciding factor.
I would like to take this opportunity (now I have a lot of time on my hands) to firstly thank the coaching staff on behalf of all senior players. Tim, Adam, Garvey and Andy B who have been there for the boys week in week out throughout the whole season.
This season has been a challenging one for the first team, although we managed to stay in the league which we belong in! We will regroup and go again! A massive well done to the seconds who have had a fantastic season after being promoted last year and to finish 3rd this year in their league is a phenomenal effort.
I’d like to give a special mention to Tim Draper who has put an exceptional amount of his time and effort into Corsham Rugby. Whether it be reaching out for new sponsorship deals, trying to put a side together on a Thursday evening or loosing the plot during his half time team talk, he has given his all and is a massive asset to the club.
I’d like to thank all of our sponsors who have all been so generous in sponsoring our club. A thank you to Georgie our physio and Tony Chivers for your ongoing support too.
I want to thank our Chairman Ian Bamber and the committee for all their off the field efforts which help to keep our club running.
On a personal note I’d like to thank my sponsor, club president and Dad, Ade Jones too for giving his all to our club. He’s a fantastic supporter and even better bus driver!
I am hoping to organise a summer social once Covid-19 has passed us, fingers crossed this will be sooner rather than later.
